Here’s the perennial favorite progressive rock classic from 1978 that features a famous violin solo in the middle (~ 1:30 in the original recording) by the band Kansas… who are not surprisingly, from Kansas, USA.  I believe Lawrence, Kansas claims them as their own, or so people said when I was there last doing some Fiddle Jam Clinics a few years back.  Below is the band’s official music video from YouTube and the chart I’ve created with an arrangement so that the song can be played pretty closely to the original (which was actually multi-tracked in the studio with a violin and viola by band member Robby Steinhardt) with a single violin.
