Welcome to another issue of the Fiddle Jam Club Newsletter!  I missed a month due to a family medical emergency, but am getting back on track with posting some new lessons and reviving work on my Blues Violin course materials.  Thanks again to those who took the time to answer the seven Blues Violin survey questions. Your info and input is very helpful in the final development stages of a new course.  If you did not do the survey and would like to add your “two cents” you still can.  Take the survey here. As a thanks for your input, I’ll send you your choice of a few bonus lessons (see the survey for more details).

Newsletter Topics Below: 1) Ragtime Annie. 2) Holiday Songs.  3) New Truck Talk. 4) Site improvements.

1) Featured Lesson of the Month: Ragtime Annie.  Classic Bluegrass tune by request of one of our overseas members!  I’ll leave this one open to our free Fiddle Jam Club members this month before making it only available for our All Access Pass members later.  I have supplied a bunch of audio tracks in varying forms and tempos for you to learn from.  As usual, please feel free to let me know if you have any questions via the comment form on that page.  Ragtime Annie.

2) It’s that time of year again… The FJi Holiday song vault has been opened!  I’ve added Auld Lang Syne in an easy fiddle-friendly key for your New Years celebrations too.  Let me know if you have requests for other songs in the Holiday spirit!

3) New Truck Talk: I posted this recently in a reflective mood about how the recent (and crazy!) US Presidential election might effect our music making.  Check it out here, and let me know what you think!

4) Site improvements: By request I’ve added more ways to contact me.  You should find a “contact us” tab on just about every page in the site now.  Remember, scroll down to the bottom of pages to find continually updated info on newest lessons posts, suggested similar posts, and other navigational links… as well as our search box, which is a quick way to find specific things on the site!  Also, our apologies if you left a comment that did not get answered.  For a couple weeks in October our system that sends me those notices unexpectedly konked out.  All fixed now, thanks to webmaster Patrick!

If you have any questions or comments, please feel very free to post them below. I love to hear from you!

Talk soon!

Fitz

PS: If the contact form (that is supposed to be below) does not appear in your browser, click here to send me a message instead.

Remember, if you ever want off of this list, just let me know! I’m not looking to spam anyone with unwanted inbox intrusions. I’ll most likely be sending this out a couple times a month as we head into this new phase… maybe just a little more when there’s something new going on. Till next time!
