Your 2016 Goals

I first asked this question in our 1/13/16 newsletter issue…

What are your 2016 musical goals?

Mine are to get FJi going in a much bigger way!  I know that I really can only do this if I really am hitting the mark(s) for what your needs are.

So… I’m asking…what are they?  How can I help you achieve your musical dreams?  What bugs you?  What terrifies you?  What situations make you the most uncomfortable?  What kind of gigs do you dream of effortlessly being ready to handle?

I have another Truck Talk coming on this subject.  I will post that sometime this coming week.

Please give me your input below!

I would also like to learn shortcuts that will make fast songs easier to play up to speed…where I would do several left finger moves with one bow stroke, instead of one short bow stroke for each note. (hammer-ons, slides, triplets).

My biggest fear is being in a jam situation where I don’t know the song, but I know the key, and I have to improvise a break on the spot. I would like to be able to do a generic bluesy break in G and A (G C G A D G type chord progression, or any chord progression), a bluegrass break to a song in the key of B, with a typical chord progression (1, 4, 5 ) and a generic break to a typical country tune in the key of E.

These are perfect situations for the Fiddle Jam Method! The key of B (major) is not as common, but B minor is. Thanks for your input!
