As you may know, the Fiddle Jam Institute’s sister company is Outlaw Fiddle, and I’ve been working on my dream electric violin, the EV3 that I now have applied for a patent for, and am beginning to promote and sell (check out www.outlawfiddle.com if that intrigues you).  I came across this “History of the Bowed Electric String” Documentary yesterday, by Ben Heaney.  Ben did a scholarly job on this!  He’s also been very encouraging to me about my EV3 development, being kind enough to show us inner and outer pictures of his very rare antique Fender electric violin from 1959 for my study.  Interesting stuff, if you are an electric violinist! Check it out!
