Hey Fiddle Jammers! I just wanted to let you all know that the Fiddle Jam Institute is back open for your learning pleasure. It seems that my hosting company had a problem on their end with my (supposed to be) automatic domain name renewal. All fixed now. If you haven’t checked in to the site lately, I’ve posted some new things recently and have been working on a bunch of new Bluegrass jam-along lessons that I expect to release this month. So stay tuned. …and as always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions or concerns of any kind. I’ll help the best I can!
PS: Tomorrow, Monday 5/7/18 I will be performing with a reunited gypsy jazz group “Gypsy Tears” and I think it will be available for viewing live via the venue’s Facebook feed (not 100% confirmed on this, but I’ve seen them do it for other shows at this venue). It’s rare that all these guys are in the same town together anymore and promises to be a fun evening. Here’s the event info:
Gypsy Tears – Crying Again
Featuring:
- Geoffrey Fitzhugh Perry (Your’s truly) violin and possibly some “quatar”
- Howard Wapner – guitar (the band’s creative inspiration)
- Michael Ward-Bergmann (YoYo Ma’s accordionist and general creative giant)
- Jacob Lawson – violin (world-class studio musician and producer)
- Jason Schuster – guitar (gypsy phenom now living in Thailand)
