Here’s a light Bop jazz tune I wrote a while back that can be a good study. Overall the key of G major, which you will not need to stray far from in the A sections (except maybe the Eb in meas. 4). The B sections start out in G (meas. 12) but then start modulating up by 1/2 steps (Ab meas. 13-14, A meas. 15-16, Bb-ish meas. 17-18) before ending on a D7, which leads us back to the G “stuff” in the final A section. If you are really looking to play some “pointed” licks, try sticking to the G blues scale towards the end of each A section.
