12 Bar Blues Phrasing Lessons

Description: a “Gigger” level 102 lesson…
I’ve found this one especially helpful for students who have jammed for a bit and are in need of deepening their listening skills, or developing “Big Ears” as it is sometimes called in the biz. Awareness of the overall flow and movement of the longer phrases helps you fit in and sound more mature and relaxed while improvising. The 12 bar form of the Standard Blues can be divided into 3 smaller 4 bar phrases to help the internal growth of the student…

One Response to 12 Bar Blues Phrasing Lessons

I did 5 grades in violin, I was only taught to read and play what’s on the paper.
When I joined college that wasn’t good enough to impress the girls. So I picked
up the guitar and never played the violin for some say 45 years.
I was able to lay my hands on the entire Suzuki violin course and I have been
practicing some pieces. I am able to play the 5th grade pieces.
My site reading is not good so I use the MP3 file provided in the course and listen
and them try to play the piece using the score.

All through I had no idea about jamming with some one with my violin.
I sing a lot and play the guitar. Even play a bit of the mouth harp with my guitar
like Bob Dylan. In fact I sing a lot of his songs.

I have practiced to play the back up violin in the song called Hurricane by Bob Dylan.
I want to improve my jamming skills.
Can you provide me with lessons that will help me to jam and enjoy jamming?
I am now 70 years old and want to use my music skills in the church.

Monthly payment I am not interested. A package with exercised to become a
better jammer. A one time payment not exceeding $20 is what I am looking for.
I did buy some course from Udemy to learn jamming with guitar.
Some for violin too. But I like your lessons. And that is why I am requesting.

I am thinking of teaching how to play violin for the children in my church for free.

    Thanks for reading this far.
