1) A-TOODZ PLAY THROUGH VIDEOS: I’ve begun to record some play-along videos using the materials from my “Rock n Blues Fiddle Jam A-Toodz” book (available here as an eBook from our School Store for $20). The first few were done in somewhat of a promotional/introduction sense, with me playing through highlights of a given key.  Keys so far are: G major, E minor, and D major with more to come.  Even if you do not own the book yet, you could try to play along by ear as practice …not a bad idea even IF you own the book!  Purchase of the book does give you access to a special members-only area of the FiddleJamInstitute.com site where I’ll be posting these materials and more.  You can see the first few on the Fiddle Jam Institute YouTube channel if interested.  One good comment/suggestion I had was to record one complete A-Toodz lesson, reading through every measure in the suggested “call and answer” style to give people the sense of what this book can do for the student.  I think I’ll do that next.  I hope you benefit!

2) 50 YEARS OF VIOLIN: I passed a personal marker recently.  I’ve been playing the violin for 50 years now!  Hard for me to believe… I guess that officially makes me an “old guy” now so I thought I’d share the top 3 things that, looking back, that I now wish I knew as the most important 50 years ago!!  You can see this on YouTube, though I’ve also added a couple more top items on the FJi page for members to see as well.  Feel free to let me know what you think.

4) WHAT’S NEXT???… The Holiday season is just about upon us.  My Holiday song collection of lessons is still available to FJi members in the Library. 

***But also… You are the first to hear it here: I am also brewing on a special Holiday Sale to give you access to EVERYTHING I have, all lessons in the Library, and All courses for one low price.  I want to reach as many people as possible with the lessons that I know can change your playing, and as some tell me…. change your life!! 

I don’t think I’d be able to stay in business long if I offered the low price I’m thinking of for this sale all the time, so I’m only going to offer it for a short window of dates… so stay tuned!!
