Here’s an interesting thought that came my way while talking to some fellow musicians: Is Jazz Hard? I thought it might give students some insight about the difficulty or non-difficulty of playing different styles of music, and help you get past feeling reluctant to try a style out of ignorance, fear or intimidation! Many times, things are not as hard as they seem at first glance. You just need to know “what’s what” and make your personal choices based on a little bit of knowledge.
Let me know what you think!
Sincerely,
Fitz
