The Fiddle Jam Blues hit an educational home-run almost 20 years ago.  Now it’s time to take it further…

Originally designed as the “flagship” title tune for my Hal Leonard Corporation book entitled “Fiddle Jam, a way-cool easy way to learn how to improvise” (FYI: also available in our School Store with an updated digital format and bonus tracks not in the original release), Fiddle Jam the song, has introduced countless violinists/fiddlers around the world to the non-Classical “Alternative-String” music styles.

I’ve taught this song to people of all ages with its easy 2-fingered melody, fun 2-fingered Boogie Woogie backups, and the super simple 2-fingered EZ-Zone improvisation fingerboard pattern.  Here I’ll take it further with videos teaching the melody by rote, just like I do in my Fiddle Jam Clinics, take the riff training into more depth by also providing written examples that will include note names/finger numbers, and fiddler’s tab for non-readers, as well as do a bit more explaining as to the basic mechanics of the backup patterns, and some intermediate improv and performance tricks to try when you are ready.
